We recognize the urgent need for an environmental shift in the logistics industry. This is part of our DNA and we are proud of our ambitious goals, that we aim to reach through tech advancements, emission free fleets and climate compensation.
Our goal is to be 100% carbon neutral by end of 2022 and have 50% of all deliveries to be emission free, using electric vehicles or bikes.
Increase the share of emission free deliveries to 55-70% in all countries of operations and charge the vehicles with 100% renewable electricity.
Our goal for 2024 is to reduce the Airmee emissions per package even further to below 0.1 kg CO2e per delivery, less than an avocado.
2025 we want to go beyond net-zero and target net-negative emissions. We want to become climate-positive by offsetting more than we emit.
Proud signatory of The Climate Pledge. The Climate Pledge is a cross-sector community of companies and organizations, working together to crack the climate crisis and solve the challenges of decarbonizing our economy. Bringing together those that are prepared to run the furthest and fastest, The Climate Pledge calls on signatories to reach net-zero carbon emissions by 2040 — 10 years ahead of the Paris Agreement.
Collaboration with with ZeroMission. For 2021 we have offset 100% of our emissions in the Yaeda-Eyasi Landscape REDD project in Tanzania and the CommuniTree Carbon Program in Nicaragua. The projects focus on forest conservation and reforestation while simultaneously creating income opportunities for local community members and farmers. We will offset our emissions for 2022 in the same projects.
